my malwarebytes wont start up?

whenever i click to start up malware bytes it says "the item referred to by this shortcut cannot be accessed you may not have the appropriate permissions" ive been using malware bytes for 3 months and i have windows 7 64 bit

Can you go to the MBAM folder located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and run mbam.exe and see if it runs from there?

 

If you have problems then it is possible that you may be infected with something and you should probably start a thread in https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showforum=7 to make sure you are not infected, or if you are, to help get your system cleaned.
