I know I have a virus but al+l the software I've tried cannot find it

Recommended Posts

As you can see by the topic title, every time I try to type something, the plus sign pops up. Sometimes it's just one or two, but most of time it's continuous like +th+is, ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ It's very hard to write anything and if I have a page open, the address bar or the search engine will be full of the + symbols. What can I do to stop this? I can't even find the root of the problem but obviously there is one..... It took me 20 minutes to write this cause the + symbols were going ballistic....

Thanks for any help you can offer....

Hello and :welcome: :

Sorry to hear you might be infected.

We can't work on diagnostics or cleanup in this area of the forum.

So, I would suggest that you please follow the recommendations in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.

If the computer is too crippled to follow the advice for running the preliminary scanners mentioned in that sticky, just do the best you can.

A malware analyst will guide you through the cleanup process.

Thanks,

I dont think it's a virus because malware doesn't act that way.  Try another keyboard as suggested and if that doesn't work try a different mouse.

Yep.  That's correct.  Hardware should be looked at as the cause, not malware.
