Avast has anti-malware capabilities?

Hey there, don't mean to sound ignorant, or be a bother, but I just went to go download the free version of Avast! 2014 and it said it had anti-malware abilities. 

 I'm just wondering whether that interferes with MBAM or not. And if it does, if/how I can get the two to be compatible?

Yes it has anti-malware capabilities and I've not heard of any issues related to running both programs.

Hi there in Saskatchewan. I was brought up there years ago.

Just for some further info.

I have been running Avast and MBam Pro together for years with no issues at all.

Some have added mutual folders in respective exclusions and your good to go
