After Malware Removal, Monitor Green

Recommended Posts

I ran Malwarebytes Pro updated Quick Scan and these files came up which I removed. Said to restart and my monitor was nuked....lime green and yellow, barely legible. Restored the deleted malware? files but still the same. Did a system restore and it fixed it. Question is why did it happen and is it a malware or malwarebytes issue? Log attached.Thx.

Hi, twotix:

It's impossible to say for sure based on that log whether it's remnants of malware (e.g. rootkit) or hardware/drivers causing the problems.
However, the log shows that all of those detections were PUPs, and that you did not tell MBAM to remove them. ;)

In any event, I would suggest that you please start with the advice in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.
A malware analyst will assist you with this; if there are non-malware issues that remain after checking for & removing infection, your helper might refer you back here or to the PC help section, as needed.

Thanks,

P.S. Performing a System Restore can sometimes break the meta data for MBAM (and/or your anti-virus).  If MBAM is not working properly now, after doing so, you might need to cleanly reinstall it, using Option 1 of this method: MBAM Clean Removal Process.
