Hi guys, I'm having a problem with scorpionsaver. I've followed several guides (including guides created by this site) that were created to help with the removal of scoropionsaver. However, it seems as if scorpionsaver is still on my computer. I'll use the malwarbytes software to remove it, but after a few hours or so it'll always come back despite my several attempts at removing it. I really need your help, PLEASE. I was following this one guide until the system look up point. I couldn't find the attached zip file he was talking about. If someone could help me out, this would be great. Also, here's the system look up file that I found when I did it for the regifind: scorpion

and this is the guide I was trying to follow: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=137526

Welcome to the forum.
Did you run AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes?
The SystemLook log is just to remove the reference to it in your add/remove programs.

If it keeps coming back we need to look at a FRST scan.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to a folder. (use correct version for your system.....Which system am I using?)

Please make sure you click download buttons that look similar to this, not "sponsored ad links":

bleep-crop.jpg

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

If the logs are large, you can attach them:

To attach a log:

Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same folder as FRST.

Run FRST.exe and click Fix only once and wait

The tool will create a log (Fixlog.txt) in the folder, please post it to your reply.

Then......

Download and unzip the attached fix.reg (fix.zip)

Now double click on it and allow it to merge into the registry.

Last.....

Open up Malwarebytes > Settings Tab > Scanner Settings > Under action for PUP > Select: Show in Results List and Check for removal.

Please Update and run a FULL Scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, post the report.

Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

Please let me know how computer is running now, MrC
