beck Posted April 10, 2009 Author ID:72225 Share Posted April 10, 2009 Bump. I know this is probably an insignificant question for more knowledgeable people out there, but it's important to me since I really don't know (noob) and would really appreciate an answer.I see that I can scan any drive from the installed program on the HD, but I still want to know if I can install the program (MBAM) from a jump drive.Thank you. exile360 Posted April 11, 2009 ID:72344 Share Posted April 11, 2009 Nope, MBAM isn't portable and as far as I know there are no plans to make it so. You could run the installer from a flash drive, but you'd have to install it on the host system. As far as the MBAM Clean utility, you need to uninstall the program through Add/Remove Programs in Windows First, then run the clean utility because it does NOT remove the entire installation, just the leftovers left behind by normal uninstallation. For more info please reference the instructions here.

exile360 Posted April 11, 2009 ID:72415 Share Posted April 11, 2009 Sure, that shouldn't be a problem, but again, you'd still want to do the normal uninstall through Add\Remove Programs before you did, otherwise there'd be loads of leftovers.
