Start MBAM go to the Settings tab, then Scanner settings and there you can select if you want items to be scanned and if you want them checked for removal or not.

when i go to the settings tab, it says

action for PUP: show in results, and do NOT check for removal

action for PUM: show i nresults, and check for removal

action for P2P: do not show in results list.

does that mean that the scanner isnt checking them? I also am confused on what check for removal means. does that mean that pup is checked by the scanner, but is left unchecked in result page? thanks

My own suggestion would be to click the down arrow for the selection and choose to detect all 3 and mark for removal.

Check for removal means that when the scan has completed if you do not have it set to mark for removal it will still show the items but they won't be checked for removal. You would need to check the items yourself.  If you have it automatically check the items then when or if found they will already be marked for removal for you.  You can uncheck any item you feel is okay and that you want to keep.  Don't check means it will not look for those items.

thanks so

''do not show in results list'' means that the scan wont look for this right?

''show in results list and check for removal'' means it will look and automatically check off the results

''show in results but do not check for remov'' means it will look but not check off in results?

btw, i posted my log above your last post. you may have msised it because  i posted 2 posts. I know you asked for it, so wanted tomake sure you saw it.

thanks

btw, took your suggestion, and changed all to show and check.
