I have spent hours researching what seems to be a common problem, but none of the HJT logs are common. So I will post my own.

In both Firefox and IE7 if I go to Google, perform a search, and then click on links often (but not always) I will get to the site I want and then immediately be re-directed to an IP address and then again to an ad site. Common IP addresses include: and

I have run Quick and Full scans and have NO recent infections from: Ad-Aware, SUPERAntiSpyware, or Malewarebytes but the problem continues.

First and important step.... I see you are running AdWatch.

I suggest you disable it because it can interfere with the fixes.

To disable AdWatch:

* Right click on the Ad-Watch icon in the system tray.

* At the bottom of the screen there will be two checkable items called Active and Automatic.

o Active: This will turn Ad-Watch On\Off without closing it.

o Automatic: Suspicious activity will be blocked automatically.

* Uncheck both of those boxes.

* (When done, you can re-enable it using the same steps but this time check both boxes.)

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.35

Database version: 1904

The database and program is outdated.
  • Start MalwareBytes and click the Update tab. There click "Check for updates"
  • In case you can't update the database via the update option, please download and install the database from here. Only do this when the update option doesn't work.
  • Once the updates are downloaded, perform a full scan again.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log, then we'll proceed from there with new steps.

Extra Note:

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.
