Really weird stuff happening to me. Not sure if false positives!?

Recommended Posts

Ok, some really weird stuff is going on, and I'm not sure if there is something going on OUTSIDE of my computer, or if my PC is actually infected.

I have run several scans with Malwarebytes recently, and NOTHING was detected. However, today it detected something that turns out to be an installer for my Dolby Home Theatre soundcard software, which has been installed forever. I don't know if this is just a false positive, or if there is something really wrong with my computer?

Here is a short list of other weird things that happened in the past day, which have caused me suspicion.

Yesterday, I tried to launch Planetside 2, and it said the game needed to be installed again, like it had disappeared, despite having been installed forever.

When I restarted Steam, it asked me to verify my email(which I believe is caused by suspicious activity on the account or something).

Today, my PC froze for about a minute, where ctrl alt del wouldn't do anything at all. Then I got worried, and ran another Malwarebytes scan, after having run one last night, and that's when it detected Trojan.MSIL as a Windows installer. I was like WTF? I told it to remove the file anyway, and did another scan. While running the scan, it's detected two more objects related to the Dolby Home Theatre software, which came on a disc with my motherboard two years ago!

Can someone tell me what is going on!?

P.S. these are the two files that keep getting detected. I guess maybe I shouldn't have deleted the first? It says they were created in 2011 and accessed January 2013, when I reinstalled Windows.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Dolby Home Theater v4\pt-br\pcee4c.resources.dll (Trojan.MSIL) -> No action taken.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Realtek\Audio\PCEE4\DolbyHomeTheater.msi (Trojan.MSIL) -> No action taken.
