Install on SBS2011

Hi,

 

Just trying to install a Trial of MEE on SBS 2011 (which is 2008 R2) how ever I get the Error "The operation system is not supported by our product, please change the operating system to execute the installer."  

 

Is it possible to install it on SBS2011?

Hi Piers,

 

SBS2011 is not a supported Operating System for MEE. The only operating systems that we support at this time are Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, and 2012.

Hi Piers,

 

While SBS2011 is based off 2008 R2, there were changes made between the two and so it is not a one-to-one transition. Ultimately, since SBS2011 is rarely used and no longer supported by Microsoft, among other reasons, we have chosen not to support it. If you would like to use MEE, then your only option would be to install it on a supported Operating System.
