Malwarebytes "protection disabled" - what is going on?

Recommended Posts

Hi, Geranium:

Have you restarted ("rebooted") the computer recently???

First: As you can see from this section of your screen shot, you do NOT have the box enabled that would have MBAM PRO protection start with Windows.

So, if you restarted the computer, the protection module is not set up to automatically start when you restart the computer.
Please click your mouse in the box to change that setting, so that protection will start when you reboot your computer:

Next, please place a check in both of these boxes, by clicking your mouse on them.  That should enable the protection modules.  Please be patient -- it might take a few seconds on an older, slower computer for the changes to take effect:

Please let us know if these steps resolve your issue with the real-time protection module.

Thanks,
