Malwarebytes and HijackThis wont run

My case is very similar to topic 13659 in the General Anti-Malware forum.

I have been trying to fix my laptop since 3/31/09.

I have downloaded and installed both Malawarebytes and HijackThis. I can run Malawarebytes help OK. But when I try to run malaware bytes nothing happens, except mbam.exe shows as a process in Task Manager.

Please help.

Hi,

Please read the following tutorial and perform the steps:

Then you should be able to run MBAM afterwards. Also, make sure you update MBAM (Update tab > check for updates), before you run the scan.

Then, once the scan has finished, reboot!

After reboot,

Post the log from MBAM in your next reply.
