I run Malwarebytes before shutting down my computer. It found 6 Pups this year, and 3 days ago a "Trojan.FakeMS": in WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386\comres.dll

I quarantined it and found chatter on your site about false positives suggesting to restore it.

I could do that and run it again to see if it catches it again.

I haven't noticed any trouble with having a comres.dll file quarantined.

I'm not sure how Trojans work; if they just snag any old file or bring in their own to operate out of.

Are there any similar comres.dill files packed with Trojans.

My computer doesn't seem to miss it and I could re install service pack 3 if it needs it.

Thanks for the feed back...
