Computer files removed by MBAM

Please help me fix my computer. I knew nothing about your botched program for April 2013. There was nothing wrong with my system and I got the bright idea to try your product and it wiped out half of my registry. I have tried system restore, which didnt work, neither did reversing quarantined files or running your repair that was published to correct this problem. This botched version is stil circulating the net, wiped out my registry and then politely asked to update, when i ran an updated version it contiuned to try to remove essential .dll's from my registry. I have also tried sfc/scan now. No luck. I can only run in safe mode and half my programs dont work. When I start is regular mode it just freeze up, I am finally past the black screen but still cant run any programs, browsers, or task manager. My computer is my livelihood necessary for work if I cant use it, I cant make money. I ran a hijack this scan that lists multiple missign .dll but have no idea which ones are required for windows to operate correctly. 

Plus I dont think you should blame the gentleman's issue above on a virus when we all know full well this programs knocked out computers around the world with this botch, you did not even bother to check with him to see if this was the issue.

We'll certainly try to assist you however I'd like to first know how this happened.  The specific version that caused a false positive and removed many files was only available for about 4 hours many months ago.  You cannot find or download it from any legitimate sources as we removed it months ago within hours of it being posted, so how would you be able to have this issue today?

 

Please find the log files from the MBAM program and attach that so that we can see how best to assist you.

Please explain this then... I have a saved screenshot that says "Your database is 212 days old would you like to update it. o guess what, someone is still circulating it. It does not ask to update until it wipes out the registry as stated before. I think it's a little too close to be a coincidence.

I would like to investigate this, please provide us the location where you downloaded this version.

FYI, there is no official precompiled version of MBAM that includes this database so if someone is hosting one their intent is to destroy your system, we need to take them down.

Do you know how I can repair my missing .dll's?

I have reviewed this installer and it does not contain that specific version.  It does install a bunch of their own junk but our installer is there as well repackaged by them but the program and the rules do not contain the database that did the damage from the FP.

 

 

Wrapper installer scored 2/46 on VT

VT for other installer extracted 2/47: ICReinstall_malwarebytes-anti-malware_setup.exe
 

It installs rules from 04/04/2013 and tells you that they are out of date by 224 days, which they are because that was the rules from 04/04/2013 that are in the original installer.

 

When you run the update it updates the rules to today's date.  In no instance are there ever any rules on the system from the FP date so again, not sure where or how you would have gotten that file.

Hijackthis cant read the locations of the files correctly but they are all there.  This is a known issue with hijackthis.

 

You may want our experts to help you diagnose what the problem is. I doubt is missing files cause you were able to get in safe mode.
