question on database updates for Malwarebytes PRO

Hi everyone my first question here,

 

I have recently upgraded from Malwarebytes free to Malwarebytes PRO version.

Everything is working fine and super fast,all logs also fine but I have one question on updates though.

 

I have noticed that ever since I went from free to PRO version my updates when 

I manually update Database and signatures are around 3-4kb sometimes even less,

and on free version it was roughly more than 1MB on average..

 

Is this normal for PRO? And why such significant drop in quantity of updated signatures?

The Pro version, unlike the free version, does incremental updates.  That means that instead of downloading the entire database each update, which the free version does, it will only download the new signature created since the last download.  If the PC is turned off for a period of time, the software may deem incremental updates unwarranted and will then download the full signature database.  Additionally the free version requires a manual updated.  The paid-for version has an automated update scheduler.
