[SOLVED] "the Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit process will be terminated", v0.9.4.2000 windows 7

Sorry for the ridiculous title, but I wanted to get it out there.  As it says, I've been getting the error of  "Error installing Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit Driver, the Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit process will be terminated."   The weird bit is how this issue was resolved in the last version of MBAE, and how it normally afflicted Windows 8 and 8.1.  My current version of MBAE is 0.9.4.2000, and the OS is  Windows 7.  Other installed software include:

- Superantispyware (Inactive during install)

- MBAM (Inactive during install)

It gets weirder.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled (Or attempted to reinstall) MBAE, I've even done this from Safe Mode, including admin rights.  Still no response.    Any Ideas?

It sounds like you may have an older version of MBAE not uninstalled correctly?

Try the following:

1- If you have it currently installed and running, right-click on the traybar icon and choose Exit.

2- If you have it installed but not running, open TaskManager or ProcessExplorer as admin and see if mbae.exe is running. If it is, kill it.

3- Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and uninstall it.

4- Reboot.

5- Delete C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit

6- Reboot again.

7- Download and install MBAE again.

Do you still get the same error message?

Exact same error after performing the uninstall again.  I've tried about 9 different permutations on this uninstall/reinstall, including doing it exactly as reccomended by your team throughout some of the other user's posts.  I've included performing the uninstall and install via using admin rights, safe mode, combinations of both, changing the order of the uninstall/reboot, doing a reinstall without uninstalling, doing an admin rights command prompt and running uninst000.exe from the mbae directory, etc.  Still no results.

Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit: Uninstall

Cmd Prompt opens, Popup menu opens: "Some program features could not be removed.  These can be removed manually."

Cmd Prompt displays text: "Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit removed successfully"

Searched for HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ESProtectionDriver,  Key not found.

Reboot still and reinstall?  *Laughs*
