Hi,

I know this is getting monotonous for you by now, but I'm having the same trouble with the "Windows Safety Alert" as the prior poster. I've followed the steps given in that thread, and the delete command I was given when I ran HJT was: C:\DOCUME~1\YANDEM~1.SEE\LOCALS~1\Temp\laf78.tmp /del

Please help

Please do this.

Download 'Hijack This!' 2.0.0.0. http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/th...JackThis_v2.exe

Save it in a convenient permanent folder such as C:\HJT\, double click HijackThis.exe, and hit "Do a system scan and save a logfile".

When the Notepad window opens, do Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents here. Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

I will evaluate it and let you know what to do.

Hi RD,

After resarting my PC, the Windows Safety Alert isn't showing anymore, and it's not in the control panel either, and also my internet pages aren't getting hijacked..., so far. I have still posted the log just in case there is still some thing there.

Thanks

You have a few spyware-infections left (NewDotNew, 180Solutions).

Please download and run AVG Anti-spyware Free. Downloadable here. That will clean most of the remnants of your infections.

Using HijackThis please remove these:

O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {E0E899AB-F487-11D5-8D29-0050BA6940E3} - (no file)

O23 - Service: Pml Driver HPZ12 - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\System32\HPZipm12.exe (file missing)

Then post another HijackThis log.
