Hi,

I have a program running on my task bar that links me to Spylocked website. I have tried many different tools to remove without any luck. I have run hijack this as suggested, see logfile

One program that may look suspicious to you is Tactical Software\DialOutEZ. This is a program I use for work.

Dvr star is another. I use it to delay a cctv camera application on startup

Thanks in advance for your help,

Jim

Jim, I split your topic from that thread. Please download HJT 2.0 and post a log.

http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/th...p?page=download

PLease excuse my stupidity. I went through the uninstall process as defined on your post before leaving my message but I neglected to restart my pc. After I left my original post I finally rebooted and Spylocked was gone. I guess I grew more dispondent as the process went on and didn't exactly have my wits about me. I would have added the hjt log anyway but am at another computer.

Since I have wasted your time already, maybe you could have a look at the hjt log from this pc. It's become somewhat slow but doesn't have spylocked on it.

Same comments as before on the programt I use that may look suspicious........Tactical Software\DialOutEZ

I am currently running xp pro w/serv pack 2

I use AVG free antivirus and Spybot as well as Adaware but not Norton which I see some entries for. Are those ok to delete?

Thanks again for the invaluable service you provide,

Jim

Jim,

You are not wasting my time. I do this as a volunteer. As for your Norton question. Please go through you Add/Remove programs list and remove ALL Symantec and Norton objects. After you restart, remove them via HijackThis.

As for your system, I would suggest running a few scans. In this order:

1) Run a scan with your AntiVirus (AVG)

2) Run a scan with Ad-Aware SE

3) Run a scan with Spybot Search & Destroy

4) Run a scan with SUPERAntiSpyware

I notice the above programs are already installed on your system. Please make sure you update each and every one prior to a scan. You also have quite a few unnecessary startups listed in your log. Please download our newest utility StartUpLite from http://www.malwarebytes.org/startuplite.php. Start it and follow the instructions on the screen. Post a new HijackThis log after you are complete.
