Registry error question

My Auslogics defragger tells me I have 858 registry errors on my PC.
 {Then naturally wants to sell me something}

Can anyone recommend a free-ware registry cleaner which will  -safely-  clean up the junk,
AND won’t get a novice like myself into a situation that may harm or shut down my PC?

:wacko:

{No snide remarks plz, I'm aware “registry modifications” and “novice” in the same sentence is the mother of all oxymoron’s}
