PUP.b showed in scan; caused terrible problems when removed

Today my computer was being awfully slow so I did a quick scan with my updated version of free Malwarebytes. The results were 20 malicious threats and everyone of them started with PUP.optionB. I looked at each one and some of them were found in files, some in registry key, some in memory, some in folders. So I thought these are all bad and clicked to remove all. I then restarted the computer as suggested and INSTANTLY, when I clicked on Internet Explorer, it said Internet Explorer could not find the website; I could not go to google, hotmail, facebook, NOTHING! So first I tried system restore which did not work; then I went back into Malwarebytes and found the log for today and I checked everything from today's scan and clicked RESTORE. Now it all works again but my computer is still very slow especially if I do a google search and then click on one of the topics that comes up; often the computer just hangs and NEVER gets there. So any ideas of what I could do?
