We are pleased to announce the release of Malwarebytes Enterprise Edition 1.3.0.1936 today.

This new release incorporates the highly anticipated Active Directory Integration feature which will allow our customers to be able to seamlessly import admin users, computers, groups, and organizational units (OU) into MEE expediting deployment and setup time. With this feature we are also able to synchronize with any AD changes minimizing the need to maintain Malwarebytes Enterprise Edition separately.

In addition, we have included features that will help improve the Administrator experience such as automatic polling interval configuration and restoring quarantine items from the console for one or many clients.

Important Note: Existing customers who decided to upgrade to this latest build will need to upgrade the server along with redeploying the managed client as we have made changes to the client communicator. Although no new features have been added on the client side an upgrade is still required to utilize the latest MEE features.

Malwarebytes Enterprise Edition has been updated to provide the following new features:

  • Microsoft Active Directory integration, capable of querying AD to import admin users, computers, groups, and organizational units
  • Expedited deployment of Malwarebytes managed clients based on membership in Active Directory groups
  • Set a Domain Query Account to synchronize Active Directory changes
  • Restoration of quarantined objects from any managed client using the Management Console
  • Ability to utilize third-party tools to deploy managed clients exported as MSI files
  • Automatic configuration of managed client polling intervals based on the number of clients
  • Policy option added which allows managed clients to download signatures directly from the internet

Improvements:

  • Addressed a memory leak caused by the management server log clean up process
  • Addressed issue where managed clients equipped with a Bluetooth PAN adapter failed to register to the server causing the error "NullReferenceException"
  • Addressed Remote Service Control crashes during push install
  • Replaced customer name in the user interface with ID field which will contain a random fixed length string
