shiny Posted October 13, 2013 ID:741464 Share Posted October 13, 2013 I lost my audio after running a scan with malwarebytes. I was running a scan with the free version, but after a while I exited the scan without either pausing or aborting first, and had my computer shut down. The usual log file did not appear after I exited the scan. There were no audio the next time I turned on my laptop. I had ran the scan with an old version,v2013.05.22.02 I believe, which I had since updated after the lost of my audio. Anyway to fix this? Many thanks. Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted October 13, 2013 Root Admin ID:741494 Share Posted October 13, 2013 Please restart the computer and run this scan and post back the log. Temporarily disable your antivirus while running the scan and then re-enable it when done. Please run the following scanner and send back the logs.Download DDS from one of the locations below and save to your Desktopdds.scrdds.comTemporarily disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware ProgramsOnce downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed. Then double click dds.scr or dds.com to run the tool.Click the Run button if prompted with an Open File - Security Warning dialog box.A black DOS console should open and run for a moment. When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:DDS.txtAttach.txtSave both reports to your desktopPlease include the following logs in your next reply as an attachment: DDS.txt and Attach.txtYou can ignore the note about zipping the Attach.txt file and just post it or attach it.
