Hello, I've been having trouble trying to do an update from Windows Update... But it fails everytime.

This has been happening for... possibly months and I've been ignoring it but I figured I should try and fix it...

Generally speaking removing ALL the .NET installers and clearing out some files and folders and resetting some permissions there is no easy way to fix this.  Microsoft has a Fixit for it but from what I gather most users say it does not work for them.
