Malwarebytes freezing during scan

Recommended Posts

I have a 1 year old HP running Windows 7.  The computer has been very slow lately so I ran Malwarebytes.  It is finding over 50 objects, but is freezing at different points during the scan. This is happening during both a full scan and a quick scan.  The freeze point is different every time.  HELP!!!!

if you sit patiently (I have found) it will pick up again and also show you real time elapsed---just let it do it's thing!

Hi, bonniep: :)

Actually, that isn't always the case.

Each computer is unique.

Yes, sometimes MBAM does pause for a while e.g. while scanning archived files.

However, a freeze during a scan on a known infected computer can be a problem that requires expert help.

Under the circumstances, therefore, it's best for the OP to follow Firefox's expert advice and have one of the malware analysts assist with cleanup. ;)

Thanks for your input! :)
