How to re-edit the latest scan?

Recommended Posts

So I clicked 'Quick Scan' and waited 2 hours for it to complete.

In the end, it detected 137 objects.

Now I accidentally clicked 'Removed Selected'

without selecting anything, thus nothing was Removed.

I don't want to wait additional 2 hours, for what I already did.

Is there any work-around, to remove those objects without scanning?

Or do I have to scan everything all over again?

Hello and :welcome:

As far as I know the only way is to rescan and then once the scan is complete, you can right click on one of the detected items and select the option Select All....

Here is some information about PUPs and about the new Malwarebytes Anti-Malware policy:

PUP = Potentially Unwanted Program

What are the 'PUP' detections, are they threats and should they be deleted?

Malwarebytes Adopts Aggressive PUP Policy

As explained in those posts, PUPs are not themselves malicious.

If you don't want them, you can tell MBAM to remove them.

If you know what they are and want to keep them, you can tell MBAM to ignore them.

The KB topic linked above explains how to deal with them (i.e. whether to remove or to ignore them and how to do that).

Having said all that, if you're not sure what to ignore/keep and what to remove, it would be a good idea to follow the recommendations in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.

A qualified malware analyst will guide you through some scans and the cleanup process, to remove malware/adware/junkware.

Thanks :)
