Jump to content Over and over and over again with avp.exe

Recommended Posts

Approximately every 60 seconds i get this: (with a different port each time)

IP-BLOCK (Type: outgoing, Port: 61016, Process: avp.exe)

IP-BLOCK (Type: outgoing, Port: 62424, Process: avp.exe)

The tone and message bubble every minute is infuriating. I want to know what this ip is, and what the potential problem is, but there is no info. It tries 7 or 8 times with one, then 7 or 8 times with the other, then repeat.

I was also getting reports constantly with utorrent, so i shut it down.

This is on a clean install win8 tablet, wanting to give mbam a shot. But if this is what i can expect, no thank you. Please help.

Hello and welcome: :)
This KB topic explains why MBAM appears to be blocking your AV (KIS or KAV, I presume?):  Why is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware blocking my antivirus?
And this one explains why it blocks utorrent and other P2P software (and how to SAFELY deal with the balloon notifications): Why does Malwarebytes Anti-Malware block BitTorrent or other Peer to Peer Clients?
Having said all that, those IPs are in Romania.
So, they could be indicative of infection, especially if they are occurring when no browsers are open and your P2P software is disabled.

I would suggest that you might want to follow the recommendations in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.
A qualified helper will guide you through some scans and any needed cleanup.
