Did it find or fix anything??

Did you try to boot the computer up??

 

edit:

Please try this system restore point also, you said you didn't try it.
I don't see how any restore points could have been made after the infection.
 
Trying system repair now. It would not let me restore to any of the dates listed. I didn't try the most recent date because I think that date is after the problem ocurred.

Please do this:

Boot to System Recovery Options and run FRST again.
Type the below bold text in the edit box after "Search:" [don't forget the  semicolon (;)]

IERTUTIL.dll; URLMON.dll; WININET.dll


Then click the Search button.

It will make a log (Search.txt) on the flash drive. Please attach this log to your next reply.

It appears that you have some corrupt files on the system so I want you to run the system file checker SFC and see if it can find and replace them.

 

Here's how to do it: (you can boot to the recovery console as you did before

 

Get to the command prompt , enter and  run this command:

 

sfc /scannow /offbootdir=d:\  /offwindir=d:\windows

 

(be sure to use your drive letter)
