Iobit secured file

Recommended Posts

Hello all:

I recently went to upgrade one of this companies software programs and the program "hi-jacked" my computer. It installed a new host file, browser toolbar and many other search engines.

I have used a number of tools to eradicate the lot, however, when I try to remove the Iobit folder, I am unable to do so. I have tried Unlocker and your programs but it has found a way around this.

I was successful in removing the host file problem with Killswitch. Nothing else I have tried for the last 2 days has helped. It has tried to mask itself as a protected quarantine file.

Anyone else have this same problem and a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Rand
