Reinstalling MBAM after reinstalling windows

A few days ago I installed the windows 8.1 preview on my computer and decided to do a clean install from windows 7. Before wiping my drive I used the malwarebytes removal tool, but now I can't reactivate malwayrebytes. It is still on the same computer, nothing has changed except the OS. I tried downloading it online and booting it from the cd, but neither will work.

Are you getting an error when trying to activate it? All you should have to do is download and install the latest version of Malwarebytes and then activate it using your ID and KEY.

Do you still have your ID and Key info?

 

I still have my ID and key but when I put in the key it says invalid key.

Are you typing it in or doing a copy and paste? Make sure there are no extra spaces at the end and verify your typing it in correctly.

You could contact Cleverbridge..... to verify you have the right ID and Key.

Well I bought the disk off of amazon, so would I be able to email them? Also, there's no way for me to copy and paste since its all on the paper that came with the disk. And I double and triple checked it for the 4 or 5 times I tried it.

I think you will have to contact Amazon, unless one of the Admins on this site has any better ideas. They may have more resources available to them that I don't as not on the Malwarebytes staff....

In addition to Firefox's uniformly excellent and expert advice, you might want to check out this KB topic: It says 'Invalid license information' when I try to activate the software.

(It sounds as if you've already tried most of the suggestions it describes, but perhaps it might be worth taking a look?)

 

If that doesn't help, then by all means please do follow Firefox's advice.

So there was nothing wrong with my code or activation, it was a mistake on my part. Trying to activate it at 1 in the morning probably inhibited me from thinking of this. All I had to do was put in the dashes with the code. I'm just used to activating stuff that automatically put the dashes in. Nonetheless, I still feel stupid, haha. Thank you guys for your help and I do apologize on my part.
