[SOLVED] Anti-Exploit 0.09.3.1000 Blocks Silverlight in Chrome

Hello,

I just upgraded from 0.09.2.1400 to 0.09.3.1000 and for some peculiar reason, it blocks the use of Silverlight (specifically on Netflix) on Chrome version 28.0.1500.95 m. But it works fine on Firefox version 22.0.

Am not sure of this is the proper way to post a bug, or if it is one, so yeah XD

Thanks for reporting and welcome to the forum!!

Can you please provide the following info:

1- Your system config (OS, architecture, third-party security software, main installed apps and versions, Silverlight details, etc.)

2- Post the file mbae-default.log from the MBAE installation directory.

3- Post sample steps to reproduce the problem.

Thanks!

Thanks! And sure thing:

1) OS: Windows 7 X64 Home Premium SP1

Security Software: Avast! Free 8.0.1489 & Comodo Firewall 6.2.285401.2860

Main Installed Apps: Tuneup Utilities 13, PerfectDisk 12.5, Spotify, CCleaner (not sure what else would be relevant)

The Silverlight version is 5.1.20513.0 x64

2) (See Attached)

3) There really aren't any steps other than opening Chrome and trying to stream something on Netflix. And it seems to be anything Silverlight related within Chrome.

There used to be conflicts between Comodo and MBAE. Can you please try completely uninstalling Comodo, rebooting and trying again to see if the issue persists? If you don't get the issue anymore after uninstalling Comodo then it's probably the same historical conflict.

"It's true." Malwarebytes Exploit does block Silverlight. I just tried to stream on Netflix and was blocked.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials as my main Virus/Spyware protector, ZoneAlarm firewall, Malwarebytes Pro for malware protection and just added Malware Exploits, version: 0.09.3.1000:

I have been using Netfix this past month for my movie viewing, but today after downloading "Malware Exploits," the movies were blocked. I have the current Chrome browser.

Is this solved? I have the same issue with MBAE, silverlight is blocked in Chrome while on Netflicks.

In case it's useful:

 OS: Windows 7 x64 Home Premium SP1

Security Software: Kaspersky Pure, Spywareblaster & Mbam Pro.

• Installed Apps: Secunia PSI, Kindle & VLC.

• The Silverlight version is 5.1.20513.0 (64-bit).
