5 Malicious Software Found, MalwareBytes Did not Remove

Recommended Posts

I had a problem opening Norton earlier, so I tried downloaded malwarebytes and I was not able to run it.  I restarted my computer and then was able to open norton and download malwarebytes, I did a quick scan with malwarebytes and I have 5 malicious software on my computer, I then clicked Remove Selected, and restarted my pc, but then when I did another quick scan the same 5 things came up, I don't know how to get rid of these the 5 things that come up are:

Stolen.Data (File)

Stolen.Data (Folder)

Trojan.FakeAlert (Registry Value)

Malware.Trace (Registry Key)

The log from MBAM shows that you did not tell it to remove the infections.  Please run MBAM again and do a Quick Scan and this time tell it to fix it.

Then reboot and rescan again and let me know if it still shows in the logs after the removal.

Thanks

Do you mean to just press "Remove Selected?  If so I did that, I have tried scanning with malware bytes and pressing "Remove Selected" three times, and below are logs from what the sticky thread says.

  • Root Admin

MBAR found and says it removed a rootkit.  The instructions asked you to run MBAR again if anything was found to ensure it was removed.

Please go ahead and run MBAR again and check for updates and scan the system again and post back new logs.

Then reboot again when MBAR is done and run a new FRST scan and post back that new log as well.

Thanks
