Trouble updating MBAM

Recommended Posts

I am having the exact same issue on a Windows 8 desktop. One thing unique about this machine, updates were overlooked for over 100 days. When the oversight was discovered and a update started, it 75% completed, cycled through several restart updates and finally produced the same error message as mentioned above. Have tried uninstall/re-install and updating with security software disabled.

Please run the following for me.   Did you setup any exclusions for Avira  and MBAM ?

Please create an mbam-check log:

  • Download mbam-check.exe from here and save it to your desktop
  • Double-click on mbam-check.exe to run it, it should then open a log file
  • Please do not copy and paste the entire contents of the log into your next post, instead please attach the log CheckResults.txt file which should now be located on your desktop to your next post
