weird google results/malwarebytes will not start

Recommended Posts

Hi, This pc will not start malwarebytes. I have attached a hijackthis log.

Also what i have noticed is only with IE7 (other browsers work fine) upon doing a google search and getting the results, i notice the fonts look larger then usual and when i click on a result i get a few pop up windows. I notice it surfs to "windowsclick" and "adwarealert.com" also i notice iexplorer.exe likes to run in the background. If i kill it, it will re appear again in a few minutes.

Thanks,

Great i'm glad to here!

I will lock this topic as finished now.

Here's some handy reading Prevention page with lots of info and tips how to prevent this in the future.

And if you want to improve speed/system performance after malware removal, take a look here.

Extra note: Make sure your programs are up to date - because older versions may contain Security Leaks. To find out what programs need to be updated, please run the Secunia Software Inspector Scan.

Safe surfing :D
