Rogue E.Elimator ?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Excuse me if I get the terminology wrong, because I've been very lucky over the years, in keeping viruses & Malware at bay.

Recently, I've been having 2 or 3 little anomalies, that might ne to due with E.Eliminator.

At the moment I can't post messages on PC Advisor.

When I click 'Submit your post', it just vanishes.

It doesn't show up in 'My Posts' either.

I did a quick scan today, & found 5 Rogue.EvidenceEliminator files, with different things under ITEM.

There were also 2 pup.installbrains.

I quarantined them all, which seemed to fix a pop-up 'Leave this page' / 'Stay on this page' whilst using an on-line auction site.

I still can't post messages on PC Advisor, & have a tiny problem with MS-Excel.

Does anyone have the time to tell me what's happening, & if these files are serious, or not ?

many thanks
