Auto opening iexplorer in task manager

Recommended Posts

Hello, my problem for a little while has been with internet explorer. It either wont shut down in task manager after exiting, or it will keep opening on its own, and multiple copies some times. (just see the iexplorer in task manager no physical program running).  I noticed it seems like all this started after I upgraded to IE10. All of my add-ons are disabled accept for my shockwave. I have tried researching this on my own but it seems like I need a guru to look at some of my log files that I may have to post.  Also over the past day I keep getting notified the malware is blocking a intrusion from a malicious website about every 5 mins. I also notice after I get this notice my IExplorer will be running again in task manager after being closed when I get the intrusion warning.   Anyone know a solution or any way of fixing this will be much appreciated. Also when all this seem to start I noticed my  IE history does not erase on exit.  I have to reopen explorer right after closing for the first time then reclose it again quickly. Then usually my ie history usually deletes.  Any help or tips would be much appreciated :D

Hello and :welcome:

Please run the following scanner and send back the logs.

Download DDS from one of the locations below and save to your Desktop
dds.scr
dds.com

Temporarily disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.
How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware Programs

Once downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.
Then double click dds.scr or dds.com to run the tool.
Click the Run button if prompted with an Open File - Security Warning dialog box.
A black DOS console should open and run for a moment.

When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
  1. DDS.txt
  2. Attach.txt

  • Save both reports to your desktop
  • Please include the following logs in your next reply as an attachment: DDS.txt and Attach.txt
You can ignore the note about zipping the Attach.txt file

Nothing immediate seen but some applications are crashing which is not good.  Probably best to rule out an infection.

I would suggest following the advice from the topic here Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and having one of the Experts assist you with looking into your issue.

Thanks
