I just got the pro version, and it's started up with windows and all as expected, but am wondering how I know it's working?

 

Is there like..a test *dangerous* site I can visit to show me how I can tell that it works?

You can test your IP Protection/Web Blocker by going to a site that resides on Malwarebytes' own servers and is perfectly safe. The test address is iptest.malwarebytes.org.

First, if you open the GUI and the protection tab shows green and "protection enabled", you are good!

 

If you want to test the IP blocker, see this KB topic: How can I verify that Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is working? and click the link in that article for

http://iptest.malwarebytes.org/

If the IP blocker is working, you should get a block.

 

(PS I don't think the spycar.org link for downloading test files is still valid... (known issue with spycar.org, I am pretty sure))
