Can't uninstall Snap.Do

Recommended Posts

Hello :)

My pc started started to act strangely yesterday (i.e. telling me explorer couldn't run, and apple application support not found, my search engine and tool bars changed, acrobat reader crashed, and many adverts etc popping up etc).

I looked at my Programs and noticed I had snap.do. tried to uninstall it but it did not follow the usual path. Instead a window popped up asking me where I would like to 'hide' Snap.Do.

I spoke to a friend who told me to install Malwarebytes and run a quick scan. I have done this but it did not detect Snap.Do

I restarted my pc and then noticed that it took a lot longer than usual to start.  My computer screen was black for a long period of time and then I noticed a little grey window.  The text in this window read: Setting up personalised settings RunDLL321EDKC53CDLLBrandIE4SIGN.UP (or something very similar)

I think I need to attach the two text windows now. So, I will do so.  My apologies if I am not supposed to do it now.

Thank you so much to anyone for any help. You guys are great :)

Charlotte

Hello!

Yes, overall, things seem back to normal...There are only two things that still seem affected: windows explorer keeps crashing - (a window comes up every now and then asking me if I wish to 'look online for a solution and restart', or 'restart', or 'debug'.  I have selected all of these options but the window still appears every so often), and a window appears stating that I need to re-install itunes. However, I haven't done this yet so not sure if there is actually problem.

Thanks again! I have recommended you and these forums to everyone! And to pay of course! :)
