MBAM won't run, Error 372 Failed to load 'vbalGrid' from vbalsgrid6.ocx

Please help:  I have no internet connectivity and have been working on this problem for weeks.  MBAM is installed but Error 372 stops it from running. 

 

I've tried MANY of the prescribed steps I've seen in these forum pages (see below) so am now hoping that someone sees something in the list of things wrong and/or the dds and attach .txt files below and can point me in a helpful direction.

Symptoms of my system's problems:

 

ipconfig: :"An internal error occurred: The systemt cannot find the file specified. Unable to query host name."

 

"Exception EOle Sys Error in module Skype.exe at 0013CE85.  The RPC server is unavailable"

 

"Error:  Unable to start the Bluetooth stack service"

 

Upon opening .doc or .xls files:  "This document could not be registered.  It will not be possible to create links from other documents to this document."

 

Not able to install hardware devices:  "Unknown"  "Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus"  "Base System Device"  (three instances)  "PCI Communications Controller"

 

"Windows Recovery Console does not exist."

Things I've tried: 

 

1) replaced vbaslgrid6.ocx and related dll files, re-registered them.

 

2) installed and run MBAR, which cleaned two items HKCU\SOFTWARE\CROSSRIDER|215AppVerifier (Adward.GamePlayLab)  &  HKCU\SOFTWARE\CROSSRIDER (Adware.GamePlayLab)

MBAR now runs clean but can't connect so no new db defs are available  (Found and cleaned

 

3) Created and run MBAM Fix.bat

 

4) downloaded and installed the Microsoft Visual Basic Common Controls (update completed)

I followed the instructions in the video you noted below but also changed permissions in Windows NT Key since Access Denied issues came up there too and many system tools are down.  That was probably a mistake. 

 

Now I can't even log into the machine as myself, nor use Ctrl-Alt-Delete to get the Classic login screen for Administrator login.

 

Any thoughts on how to get into the machine so I can try to at least undo what I did will be appreciated.  Thank you.

Well it sounds more like the computer is infected then at this point and probably by a rootkit.

I would suggest following the advice from the topic here Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and having one of the Experts assist you with looking into your issue.
