By the way, I whenever I do a scan I always get a 731 error code, and despite restarting, it always happens about 2 minutes into the scan. I also got a 726 error code, and I've reinstalled Malwarebytes, but the same thing happens. When the scan finishes, Malwarebytes says everything has been successfully quarantined and deleted, but the next time I do a scan, it's all still there. I would really appreciate some help, please!

Hi,

First of all, please update MalwareBytes, because the databaseversion is outdated.

• Start MalwareBytes and click the Update tab. There click "Check for updates"
  
• Once the updates are downloaded, perform a full scan again.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  
• Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log, then we'll proceed from there with new steps.
  

Extra Note:

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediatly.

If still the same detection, 1. Click the Start Menu.

2. Click Run.

3. Type in "mbam.exe /developer", without the quotes.

4. Run the same type of scan you did before and save the logfile and post it.

Thanks very much for helping. Actually last time before doing this I updated Malwarebytes just before doing it. I got exactly the same result - about two minutes in, a 731 error message.

This looks OK. Just a leftover to deal with...

Open notepad and copy and paste next present in the quotebox below in it:

Save this as fix.reg Choose to save as *all files and place it on your desktop.

It should look like this:

Doubleclick on it and when it asks you if you want to merge the contents to the registry, click yes/ok.

I guess the error in your MBAM is most probably because of a driver incompatibility. You have a Korean OS and that may explain it. Also, the k-defense components present or Ahnlab components here may cause similar.

In anyway, I wouldn't worry about it though. Just wait for the new malwarebytes release which may *solve your problems.

Um, I did actually save it as fix.reg, not reg.fix - don't worry!

Well, you had to save it as fix.reg, so you did right.

The regfix will delete a mountpoint in the registry which is not needed and may cause errors anyway.
