Am I still infected? re; dclogs

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Last week I found some threats when I did my weekly scan with Malwarebytes. I removed the selected and my pc was asked to reboot.

I did and all seems fine.

Today I scanned again and more dc logs threats with a registry key entry as well. Same dc logs but different name.

I removed selected again and after I did a scan both with my antivirus - Microsoft Essentials and Malwarebytes with no threats showing.

Am I still infected?

My pc seems to be running just fine but... I thought I would ask to see if there is another tool or program I can run that I have been reading in your forum.

Or am I OK?

I appreciate your help. I am using the free Malwarebytes program.

Hello Low and welcome to MalwareBytes forum.

We do not diagnose -in this particular sub-forum (which is only intended for general How-to use or set MBAM general issues).

My general outlook is that if your Antivirus program and your MBAM scan detected no threats, that then one is ok.

You can also supplement your checks by using 1 or so of respected Online scans (listed just below). If that turns up nothing, then you are OK.

On some regular schedule, it is a good idea to do an online scan for viruses and malware. Here is a very short list of sites where this may be done:

ESET Online Scanner

BitDefender Quickscan

Trend Micro Housecall

F-Secure Online Scanner

Microsoft Safety Scanner

Panda ActiveScan
