Help malwarebytes wont install due to virus

Recommended Posts

Chameleon crashes too with cocreate error as well the new beta rootkit scanner is not picking it up. I have tried linux boot cds like avira avg bitdefender kaparsky and they are not tracking down the little booger. Getting web redirects too on links which is annoying.Avg and others antivirus/malware scanners wont install.

I really dont want to reinstall.

Thank you very very very very much guys.

I will try to assist you but you're computer Event Logs are showing some potentially bad items that might possibly indicate a drive failure.

Can't promise we'll get you fixed up but we'll try our best to get you going better if possible.

Please do not install or run other tools or scanners unless I request you to during this scanning and clean up procedure.

STEP 1

Please uninstall ALL versions of Java

Java 7 Update 15

Java Auto Updater

Java™ 6 Update 22

Java™ 6 Update 29 (64-bit)

STEP 2

Please reboot the computer after step 1 above.

Then follow the procedures from here to do a clean removal and reinstall of the program.

MBAM Clean Removal Process

STEP 3

Then check for updates and do a Quick Scan and have it remove anything it finds and post back the log when done.

Thanks

This procedure will not work the virus is blocking the uninstaller/installer from working correctly. We need to actually track down the virus and disable it. I am getting an 1179 that the installer service is not running and the mbam wont load as earlier stated because of the virus and chameleon wont either with its tricks the virus is smarter or newer than the latest definitions haha. Please I really want to get this fixed today I would appreciate some sort of deep scanner. The hard drive error is a non OS critical drive.

Hi here is the cbs log from the windows installer. I have already tried the malwarebytes install cleaner, malware bytes comeleon, and the malwarebytes beta root kit stuff. We need something to track down the rest of this probably new virus and disable so i can repair the installer and different things since im not wanting to do a fresh install.

If it needs to be fixed today then you'll need to take it to a shop and have it fixed. Sorry but malware removal via forum or email is rarely cleaned in less than a few days.

If you do want to continue please let me know, otherwise as said you'll need to take it to a shop and have it cleaned.

Thanks

Please download tdsskiller.exe from a clean computer and save it to a USB stick or burn to a CD to use on the infected computer.

Then watch the following video on using TDSSKiller. Don't remove anything, just skip and log it for now.

When completed post back the report which can be found in your root directory, (usually C:\ folder) in the form of "TDSSKiller.[Version]_[Date]_[Time]_log.txt"

If it won't run from Normal mode Windows then try to run it from Safe Mode.

If you have any questions please let me know.

I did tdskiller and the other root kits before and it never caught anything this is a new virus. Does malwarebytes have a better less known scanner from their labs and I need a manual reinstall of the windows installer because sfc scannow is not self repairing. An inplace install upgrade will not kick off because of the installer issues.
