unable to remove mix.dj toolbar

Recommended Posts

I ended up with this little gem and have been unable to remove it. It has hijacked my IE browser and starts as a second tab in my Chrome browser. The url for searching points to http://search.conduit.com/?SearchSource=10&CUI=&UM=2&ctid=CT3287822.

I've followed all of the tips for manually removing it but basically it is hidden - I removed it from the list of search engines in Chrome and it no longer appears but it still shows up as a search tab. I don't see it in Windows add/remove programs and neither Malwarebytes Anti-Malware or Malwarebytes Anti-roolkit detect it. Any suggestions?

I'm running Windows Professional 7.
