B1.org Chrome malware

Recommended Posts

I tried searching and found nothing because B1 is too short and B1.Org came up with nothing here, I ran TDSSKiller and it removed something, but I still got this silly B1 search up, I can't work out how to get it back to Google again. I looked in the Chrome advance settings and see no way to clear it. Is it easier just to reinstall Chrome? Or is ther some way for MBAM to sort it out?

Hello and welcome, Ozroo: :)

We work on malware-related issues in a dedicated sub-section of the forum.

So, please follow the recommendations in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.

A qualified helper will guide you through the scanning and cleanup process.

Important note: Please start a NEW post in the malware removal section, rather than replying in a topic started by another member. :)

As you are a paid user of MBAM PRO, an alternative would be to open a help desk ticket by submitting a web request >>HERE<<, instead.

As far as editing posts, when you achieve the 50-post count and become an honorary member, you'll be able to edit your posts. ;)

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply daledoc, sorry I got this in wrong section, any Mods please feel free to move the thread to the right section.

I feel a dope, I just solved this by actually going to b1.org and following simple instructions in their support, it seems this wan't so much malware than a annoying browser extension I'd accidentally installed somehow, and it's now clean. A search on b1 had shown it coming up as malware on one website.

No problem - happens all the time for newbies. :)

(The mods WILL likely remove your post in the other user's topic here, though: http://forums.malwar...dpost&p=682427. Only the OP and the malware helper are permitted to post in that section of the forum. Again, no biggy.)

Excellent.

Glad you got it sorted.

Please let us know if you need anything else.
