That quick eh... Sounds like a quick rehash of some code. Way too quick to be of much real change but hopefully enough for those that are on Windows 8 already.

So, Ron, do you recommend that we (those of us with Windows 8) go for it? I've just got my new Windows 8 laptop late last month.

BTW, I actually like Windows 8.

I would myself. I have a couple copies of Windows 8 and will obtain the updated version. I'm sure they will have included some "OS fixes" aside from just interface changes so best to get them while you can for free. Sometimes Microsoft limits how long certain downloads are free or available.

The only thing I'm disappointed about is that they are only adding a start button and not an actual menu. (this also confused a lot of my techie friends)

I did a search for this Today on;  microsoft.com/downloads  but could not find it.

 

Anyone with a URL ?

From my understanding the only way to get the update today is via the Windows Store.  If you can wait it should be available via other methods soon.

So you mean this is a step forward from the unlimited apps I can have running or displaying on my current build of Windows 7 ?
