Run-time Error '13' Type Mismatch

I have MS Windows XP, Professional, 2002, Sevice Pack 3 operating system on Lenovo laptop, and Malwarebytes Pro purchased on 12/27/2011. I get the above message when trying to open the desktop icon. Tried removing the program to reinstall, but cannot do remove it. Any help would be appreciated.

Followed advice from Maniac in thread below and I was able to delete and re-install Malwarebytes software. Thanks to Maniac. The new pro update did specify one infection which was removed. Does anyone have a sort of level of confidence (say 99% or the like) that would apply to my computer not being still infected by a password stealing malware after this experience?
