Run-Time error '13' Type Mismatch

Recommended Posts

Microsoft Windows XP, Professional, Version 2002, Service Pack 3.

I cannot run malwarebytes, get the above message posted in the title to this post.

Tried suggestions in posts on this site, but with no change.

Cannot delete malwarebytes program either.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I do have an autoruns file (compressed) if that would help.

Hello and welcome to Malwarebytes

In almost every case I've seen this error it was due to a rootkit. Can't promise that is the issue but it fits the pattern I've seen.

I would suggest following the advice from the topic here Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and having one of the Experts assist you with looking into your issue.

After going through that forum if you're still having an issue let us know, but I'm pretty sure they can get you fixed up.

Thanks
