Hello and welcome, Azonie: :)

It's hard to say without a bit more information.

Some infections require scans and cleanup with multiple tools.

We don't do that sort of work in this particular sub-section of the forum.

So, if you'd like expert help with checking to be sure you are clean, please follow the recommendations in this sticky topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.

A qualified helper will guide you through the scanning/cleanup process.

Thanks,

also how do I change my password for this site

To change your password, click on the little white down-arrow next to your username in the upper left area of your screen, under the MBAM banner.

Then click "my profile".

Then click the blue "edit my profile" button in the upper right of the screen.

Then click "email and password" from the menu items displayed on the left side of the screen.

Change your password, and be sure to click "save changes" when you are done.

HTH,

So are you saying that even through the log shows deleted successfully it may not be deleted?? Also I did a rescan and it came up clean. So if it was still there would software find it?? And what does this virus actually do?

Not necessarily. :)

It sounds as if MBAM did catch it and clean it. :)

Also I did a rescan and it came up clean. So if it was still there would software find it?? And what does this virus actually do?

All I was saying is that computers infected with 1 type of malware sometimes have other infections. :)

And some types of malware have a nasty habit of regenerating themselves, even after cleaning.

No one tool -- even MBAM -- can possibly detect every single variant of all the many, many types of malware.

Some of today's malware hides well and it requires a number of different tools/scanners to find & remove.

I'm not necessarily saying that is the case on your particular system at this time.

Indeed, it is encouraging that MBAM seems to have eradicated the infection on your system.

If you would like a trained malware expert to guide you for free through some additional scans, just to be sure everything bad is gone (a "second opinion"), then please follow the recommendations in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.

But that's entirely up to you, of course. :)

Cheers!
