Blank (black) screen following boot install of NIS 2013 with Malwarebytes PRO

Recommended Posts

Not sure how to proceed and looking for some help. I recently did a R and R on my windows 7 64 bit due to virus and was in the process of getting system setup. Bought malwarebytes pro and loaded ccleaner and up to date version of Java - used Windows firewall and loaded updates from MS.

This has been going on since Friday and thought things were good until i just installed NIS 2013, ran live updates and full scan, turned off Windows firewall and rebooted (even unchecked Start malicious website blocking when protection module starts) which caused a blank (black) screen to occur following login. Waited 20 minutes thinking might be resource issue based on other posts here but had to hard stop system. Rebooted into safe mode and ran MWB Pro but nothing was detected. Not sure the reason but it was listed as disabled.

Any all help is greatly appreciated.

PS - Running GMER as we speak and have listings related to TYPE of .text, INITKDBG, Reg, and Disk. Can elaborate if need be but can't list since I'm not on problem computer.

Hi, betterdays: :)

Until Firefox returns...

The malware removal section of the forum can be quite busy, and many of the helpers are volunteers.

So, it can sometimes be 24-48 hours before an expert is available to pick up your thread to help.

Also, it appears that you replied to your own topic there several times already?

Doing so makes it appear to the helpers that you are already being helped (as they screen the board looking for topics with 0 replies).

So, please be patient and wait for assistance in your other topic.

If you haven't received help within the next several hours, you may wish to send a PM to one of the mod team, asking that they merge your posts and request that one of the helpers picks up your thread.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, :)

Thanks daledoc1.....

betterdays I have already PM'd one of the admins to reset your post count back to 0. Please do not reply to that topic until one of the helpers starts to help you.

Also do not bump the topic as it will only increase the post counts and once again appear as though you are already being helped.

As daledoc1 has already mentioned to you, they do get busy there so you have to be patient and wait your turn.

Thanks for understanding.....
