david_einhorn Posted April 19, 2013 ID:671534 Share Posted April 19, 2013 I downloaded ezvid (a video editing software) a couple of hours ago and then immediately deleted it as it was also downloading a bunch of other craps with it (conduit search engine and some other stuff), but most importantly I remember it downloading a file to my windows folder in the downloading bar, which I thought was very suspicious. Not long after that I tried to sign in to skype but it said I entered a wrong password,I then tried to open my yahoo email but it also said I entered a wrong password. I tried all my other online website and forum groups that I has password with and I can not login on any of them.Is there any way to retrieve all of my online accounts? I did a quick scan with malwarebytes but it didn't find anything.Any help is greatly appreciated!
Firefox Posted April 19, 2013 ID:671535 Share Posted April 19, 2013 Hello and Welcome to MalwarebytesI think the best thing to do is make sure there is no rootkit or key logger that got installed that isn't being detected.... It would be best to have an expert walk you through this process....Being that you are probably infected, feel free to follow the instructions below to receive free, one-on-one expert assistance in checking your system and clearing out any infections and correcting any damage done by the malware. Please see the following pinned topic which has information on how to get help with this: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected ComputersThank you
noknojon Posted April 19, 2013 ID:671611 Share Posted April 19, 2013 Hello -First - Please follow the advice above from Firefox, but also do you use CCleaner program ??There is a section that has "Autocomplete Form History", and "Saved Passwords". Just make sure these are not ticked.Regards -
