Another Case of Moneypak

Recommended Posts

I have a similar situation to some of the others posters that I have seen in this Forum with the Moneypak virus. But I want to make sure that I follow the right course of action, so I'm posting this request for help.

Here are the particulars of my situation:

  • the infected machine is a 32-bit machine that is running Windows XP (my "clean" machine is a 64-bit)
  • there are two user accounts on the machine - both appear to be infected
  • I have tried to boot in Safe Mode, but that appears to be disabled as I always get the "Blue Screen of Death" during boot-up
  • Malwarebytes is already installed on the infected machine, but the virus blocks any programs from being run before it locks up the machine

I'm looking for any help in removing the virus.

Thanks.
